Welcome to Lovebrook & Green
— the department store, reimagined.
Lovebrook & Green is the only purely ethical department store in the world.
We are a modern reinvention of a timeless idea.
Built slowly and curated with care, we offer a more ethical way to shop: one that values permanence over passing trends, craftsmanship over consumption
We’re an independent, digital-first destination where every item is chosen not only for how it’s made, but for how it lives with you. From botanical skincare to consciously crafted fashion and homeware, we seek out products that help reduce unnecessary pollutants in your home and support a healthier, more thoughtful way of living.
Inspired by the intelligence of the natural world, we search for state-of-the-art products made from circular materials and grown with regenerative and organic farming methods, in time-honoured ways.
We exist to make it easier – and more beautiful – to shop with intention. To offer a store that mirrors your values and deepens your connection to the world around you.
Every brand we feature shares this vision. Our strict entry policy ensures that each one meets one or more of the following standards:
- B Corp Certification
- The Positive Luxury Butterfly Mark
- A score of over 50% on our in-house impact assessment
- A recognised durability credential from Buy Me Once
Trust is at the heart of everything we do. Our in-house team carefully verifies every claim, from sourcing and raw materials to environmental and ethical practices, and wherever possible we link directly to the supporting evidence. You can explore these references within each brand’s Ethics page here.

Welcome to Lovebrook & Green.
Lucy Johnson,
Founder
Lucy’s vision is to reimagine the department store for the modern age: a curated destination where shopping is defined not by excess but by integrity and timeless design.
She founded Lovebrook & Green as a natural evolution of her earlier sustainable lifestyle consultancy, Green Salon, to meet a growing desire for beauty, ethics and intention to coexist in how we shop.
With a background in political and environmental journalism at the BBC and ITN, and a deep interest in regenerative living, Lucy is also a qualified psychotherapist, with over a decade of experience working with eco-therapy and green coaching to help people rebalance their lives with nature.
A note from our founder
I started Lovebrook & Green from a belief that we can live in balance with nature and that the brands shaping this future deserve a place to belong.
Lovebrook & Green is a department store for the brands of the future: a shared home for those restoring soils, rethinking materials and supply chains and designing with care for generations to come.

We are a modern reinvention of a timeless idea.
Built slowly and curated with care, we offer a more ethical way to shop: one that values permanence over passing trends, and craftsmanship over consumption.
We’re an independent, digital-first destination where every item is selected not only for how it’s made, but for how it lives with you. From hand-thrown ceramics to finely tailored garments and botanical skincare, we search for state-of-the-art products made from circular materials and grown with regenerative and organic farming methods, made in time-honoured ways.
Inside our department store, you’ll find a beautifully curated world of craft and conscience:
- Silver jewellery made from recycled NHS X-ray film by 886 by the Royal Mint
- Heritage-style organic linen with Savile Row-inspired grosgrain trim by London & Avalon
- Ethically sourced gemstones from the world’s first women-only mine by Athari Jewellery
- Statement bags made from recycled and apple leather by BEEN London
At the heart of Lovebrook & Green lies a deeper purpose: to restore the lost connection between the things we own and the world they come from. We believe a store should do more than sell – it should connect. To the makers who craft with care. To the materials sourced with reverence. And to the Earth we all share.
Every brand we feature shares this vision. Our strict entry policy ensures that each one meets one or more of the following standards:
